Meet Our Assistant Principal

Hello Fairmont families!

My name is Mrs. Hazlett and I am excited to join the Fairmont Elementary team as the assistant principal. I have taught in PYLUSD for the past 20 years, where my career started as a childcare teacher at Fairmont Elementary. For the last 18 years, I was a teacher at Ruby Drive, Melrose, and Tynes Elementary as well as a Teacher on Special Assignment (TOSA) at Tynes Elementary and the district supporting educators in the areas of English Language Arts and History Social Science. Mrs. Hazlett obtained her B.S. in Family Community Services with an emphasis in young children from Michigan State University, her Masters in Education from National University, and her Administrative Credential from Orange County Department of Education. She is passionate about working with students in a school setting and believes every student deserves access to a quality education in a supportive learning environment.

Mrs. Hazlett grew up in the district where she attended Travis Ranch Elementary and Middle School. She enjoys spending time with her husband, Chad and her two daughters, London (6) and Charlee (4 ½). In her free time, she loves being with family, watching her kids play multiple sports, camping, and snowboarding.
